Hamrun SS Primary School was built in 1888 in a field known as Tal-Bocci. The building served as a secondary school, a grammar school and a hospital during the Second World War. On the school façade there are 2 pieces of sculptures, one representing Queen Victoria and the other Prince Albert, her husband. The school accepts students aged 3 (Kindergarten 1) to 11 (Year 6). There is a school population of 160 students at present.
